Stand On Guard – An Emerging Movement

People from virtually every Canadian province and territory, plus several nations around the world, joined Gwen & I and Dick & Joan Deweert on our live steam webcast, “Stand On Guard” this past Sunday evening.

As we called forth what we sense is in God’s heart, I was thrilled to see many respond by submitting their own prophetic declarations for Canada, by sharing exciting praise reports and by sowing tangibly to help us activate His plan.

Looking forward to joining you for the next live stream, Sunday November 13th!

God’s faithfulness evident on Russia Trip

What an amazing day to be serving God.  I just returned from Russia with so much excitement about the ministry  and God’s plan for the future.
There were many salvations and healings but the most incredible ministry we had was with the believers.  The word we heard most often was “fellowship”.  Believers in these remote areas often fall prey to the devil’s schemes because they lack fellowship and accountability,  but I believe the future is bright for them.
This trip was exciting because it was a time of vision for our Russian workers.  While we were on the boat, we talked about the faithfulness of God in times past, His goodness to us, and the safety He has given us in some very extreme circumstances and yet there was a longing in our hearts to do more.  The God-given ideas that were in our hearts started to flood the room and we felt faith rise with the possibility of going to a new level of ministry in Arctic Russia.
Thank you so much for your support and your prayers as I traveled many miles.  Our team felt the covering of the prayers of God’s people on every aspect of our journey.  You may not have traveled with me, but in the eyes of our God, you were with me every step of the way, through every victory, every decision for Jesus and in every healing.  I know your account in Heaven is full because you stood with us as we went to deliver the aid and the Gospel to those that have never heard.
Continue to pray as we prepare to work in Arctic Canada this fall and then again this winter in Arctic Russia.  I believe we will have some exciting announcements in the near future.
God’s abundant blessings on each one of you!

Gifts, fish fry and childlike faith

On our way to  Salekhard we stopped in Tavapogol again to deliver the DVD player. They were absolutely thrilled to get it.  When we were here earlier we prayed for an older woman with pain in her knees.  She says they have improved, but she has had some back pain so we prayed for her again.

I love their childlike faith. These people are very shy but yet the most friendly, hospitable people you will ever meet.

God has provided perfect weather for the trip. The only rain we have had was overnight. The rest of our time has been sunny and warm and basically mosquito-free. God has gone before us and has been with us and your prayers have been felt daily. May God bless you for the time you have spent remembering us!

Today we are making our way back to Salekhard. God put together a phenomenal team and there is some sadness that we have to go but yet for all of us there are loved ones waiting at home. We hope to make some new contacts on the way so please continue to pray for us and for each team member to arrive home safety. God’s blessings on each of you for your prayer and support.

We are sitting on a beach with a large fire. The fish is ready to fry and we are all looking forward to a great cookout tonight. After supper we are going to spend some time praying for each other and for the people we have ministered to. This promises to be a night of good food, great fellowship with some wonderful new friends. It is such a privilege to serve God here in Russia.

Your prayers and support have made this all possible.

Boiled reindeer anyone???

Yesterday we went to visit Ivan & Iloana and their family. We had tea and some boiled reindeer. It was quite good. We had a great time of worship, prayer and encouraged Liliana in her faith. Praying for these precious families and children was amazing and we had an incredible opportunity to hand out gifts.

Now we are traveling to Beloyarsk. It is about 5 hours upriver. This gives everyone time to have a shower as the hot water only works when the engine is running.

Last night we arrived back in Chapeavsk. During the trip our Captain attempted to help another ship that had run aground. It was quite the experience watching the ships try to work together to move this larger ship. Banging together, loud crashing and the Russian captains yelling at each other. Finally, it became useless and we decided to be on our way.

We spent some time reflecting personally with God regarding the experiences of the past week and came together to go back to our sister’s tent. We ministered to her and her children again and left our blessing with her.  We are now heading for Tarapoga to deliver the new DVD player that we bought in Beleavsk. Pray for new contacts in the tents on our way back to Salekhard.

Chapaevsk – An amazing day of ministry

I am sitting on the front of our boat that has landed on the beach beside Chapaevsk.  We have just had the most amazing day of this trip and it is not over yet. Our visit to this town has allowed us to find some believers that Bill and Gwen know and we have found that Evdoklya is still keeping the faith and is also preaching the Gospel to her family, the children and in her church.

We spent much of the day in her tent sharing stories of God’s goodness and faithfulness as well as some of the struggles we have all faced and the subsequent victories.  I believe we lifted up a valiant servant of the Lord today, a warrior of the Spirit that needed to know she is just as I described.  When you stand alone or with very few people and results it can get you down, believing some of the schemes of the devil.

We ended the day laying hands on her and on her daughter, Galina, who was listening as we shared. Not only did we minster healing, revelation and encouragement to them, but then Evdoklya prayed for each of us, anointing us with oil and speaking words of faith. I felt my back, which was very sore at that point move as if my spine was coming back into alignment and I am writing this pain-free.

There is so much potential in this place but I would like to see the Pastors from Vorkuta, Valentin, Sergei and/or Nicholai to visit this group of believers in this town and/or Arksaka. It would be a great encouragement to the leaders.

Valentin has just requested that we take Galina with us to the next town if her parents agree.  We feel a strong connection with her and desire to minister to her and build her up in her faith.  I had a strong prophetic word for them that God was about to breakthrough to the people through the miraculous. It was well received.

Continue to pray for us as we head out tonight for our next point of ministry. This has been a phenomenal trip so far and it is because of your prayers.  Thank you for your love and support,

UPDATE: Meeting in Tarapoga

The meeting in Tarapoga tonight was absolutely awesome.  To see the prayers of the people in this community be answered; prayers that we would come and pour into them, is such a blessing.  The tenacity and faith of the believers in these remote regions is nothing short of inspiring.  It is not always easy to keep the faith when you feel like you are so removed from the Body of Christ.  That is one of the many wonders of our faith, that we are truly connected, no matter where we are, no matter what distance, and God hears our prayers, and He answers them.

Tonight we saw many come to salvation and had the opportunity to pray healing for those who needed.  My faith is growing as we keep moving forward.
